Hello,
My name is Alex and I am crowd sourcing to help raise funds for my Sister, Nicky. There is something truly magical about watching a person step into their own identity with the vigor and genuine class Nicky has shown over the last year. I fully support her transition, and as her older sister I believe I am seeing pieces of her emerge that have been dormant for decades.
Nicky came out as trans in late 2020, and since then she has been juggling work, periods of scholastic enrollment, hormone therapies, and scheduling body confirmation surgeries. Her orchiectomy went incredibly well, as did her recovery period. This June Nicky will get her top surgery, and the recovery time will be longer. Fortunately, her insurance through employment really helps pay for her gender confirmation. Unfortunately, we don't know how long that will last. Although insurance will surely cover most of the surgery itself, we are worried about Nicky's cost of living being covered while she recovers from bottom surgery.
We are anticipating some periods of financial hardship. I am asking anyone who can to donate some money to help ease her anxiety and support her transition!
