Many of you know Nick as a dedicated firefighter who’s spent years running toward danger to protect others. Recently, while on the job, he suffered serious burns. What we thought was a manageable injury has become far more severe — he’s now back in the hospital and facing surgery tomorrow.

Right now, we don’t know when — or if — he’ll be able to return to work. They’re also caring for two young girls, including a baby who’s still nursing, which makes this time even more challenging.

Between reduced income, travel costs, and the everyday expenses of raising a family, the weight is heavy. They would never ask for help themselves, but we want to rally around them and ease their burden.
