Help Nick Heal and Take Flight Again

Hi, I’m Lexie, Nick's Girlfriend. I met Nick last year, and he’s become such an important part of my life. I’m starting this GoFundMe on his behalf because everything changed for him in an instant after a terrible accident at my home. While showering, Nick slipped and fell out of the tub, landing hard on the tile and breaking four vertebrae in his lower back.

The injury has left him unable to work, and the recovery time is uncertain—doctors say it could be eight weeks or even longer before he’s able to return to his normal activities.

Nick is currently in flight school, working hard toward his dream of becoming a pilot. To support himself while in flight school, he works as a server at a local restaurant here in Las Vegas. Due to his injury and requirements for recovery, he’s lost his only source of income.

As if the injury wasn't already difficult enough, Nick was dealt another blow when his roommate moved out without warning, leaving him to face rent and bills alone during the hardest time of his life.

On top of that, Nick is heartbroken that he can’t properly care for Dakota, his young and energetic husky who needs daily walks and lots of activity. Dakota has always been Nick’s loyal companion and biggest source of comfort, but right now Nick can’t walk him or cover the costs of pet care while he heals.
