As you may or may not already know, completely healthy Nick was diagnosed with a brain tumor/brain cancer in September (2025). The Haines family received extremely disheartening news when they learned that his cancer is both aggressive and incurable. On Friday, October 17th Nick underwent brain surgery, followed by a weeklong stay in the hospital and then another week and a half long stay at an in-patient rehabilitation hospital. Nick is finally home, but he will now have to continue his therapy sessions, along with beginning his radiation and chemotherapy appointments.

Meanwhile, Megan will work as much as possible while navigating getting Nick to all of his appointments and also trying to keep Nathan and Olivia’s lives as routine and normal as possible. This two income family is now down to less than one as Megan is unpaid when she needs to take off work for FMLA days to support Nick. Anyone who knows the Haines family knows that they are a family filled with love. Let's make sure they feel our love and support in this extremely painful time of need.
