Nick Curtis is my close friend, and we've known each other since the early 90s. Over the years, I've watched Nick face countless challenges with his health. He has suffered from asthma for as long as I've known him, and breathing has always been a struggle. Throughout his life, Nick has been hospitalized multiple times and has come dangerously close to losing his life due to pneumonia on three separate occasions. He relies on a nebulizer and inhaler to get by, but now his condition has worsened—he only has 25% of his lung capacity left and needs a lung transplant in the future. Right now, Nick is attending breathing rehab therapy to help him manage until he can receive a transplant. Unfortunately, his health has forced him to leave his job, and he's currently unemployed. He's applied for disability assistance but is still waiting for approval, which makes paying bills and covering basic needs incredibly difficult. Any donations will help Nick with living expenses like food and utility bills, travel for treatments, medications, and medical bills that aren't fully covered.
