Hello my name is Melanie and I am Nicks Aunt. Nick has a diagnosis of ALS which is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that has currently left him wheelchair bound and having more difficulty getting out and using a manual wheelchair. Nick would really like to have the Airhawk wheelchair that is portable, light weight for caregivers to assist getting into a car. He has he also starting to have difficulty using right arm to propel manual chair. This would increase Nicks independence and accessibility. There is no cure for ALS but hoping we can make his life a little easier for him. The cost of the Chair is 2000.
