My brother-in-law, Nick, is one of the kindest, most generous people you'll ever meet. If someone needs help, he's the first one to show up with a smile and a willingness to lend a hand. His contagious smile, unmistakable laugh, and positive outlook have a way of lifting the spirits of everyone around him.

He is an incredible husband and father. Nick and my sister, Sharleena, are raising two amazing kids, ages 12 and 14. He's the dad who is always there—coaching his son's sports teams, cheering from the sidelines, helping wherever he's needed, and making time for his family no matter how busy life gets. His selfless nature, generous heart, and genuine kindness have touched the lives of so many people.

Recently, their lives changed in an instant when Nick was unexpectedly diagnosed with a malignant tumor and required emergency surgery. Now, they are facing one of the hardest parts of this journey—waiting for pathology results and trying to prepare for whatever comes next. The uncertainty has been overwhelming, and while they remain hopeful, they know there may be more challenges ahead.

As they navigate the weeks and months ahead, they'll be balancing recovery, follow-up appointments, and the unknown while trying to keep life as normal as possible for their children. At the same time, Sharleena is preparing to begin her last semester of nursing school while caring for Nick and supporting their family through this incredibly difficult season.

I'm starting this fundraiser to help ease some of the financial burden so they can focus on what matters most—Nick's healing and their family. Donations will help with medical expenses, travel, everyday household costs, and the unexpected hardships that may lie ahead.
