Hello, everyone. I am reaching out to support one of my closest friends, Nick Quinones, and his family, who are going through a tough time after their apartment recently caught on fire. Thankfully, they’re safe, but the damage to their home and belongings is overwhelming. They tried their best to save what they could but lost the majority of their things. Everything from the floor to the ceiling was covered in thick layers of ash, making the apartment unlivable. The firemen came in to stop the fire as quickly as possible, flooding most of the house as well. For the past month, they’ve all been living out of a hotel, struggling to find a permanent roof over their head. This whole situation wasn’t even their fault, as the apartment below them caught on fire first, which happened to be the super of the building, who ran out and did not even alert them about the fire! We’re hoping to come together as a community and help them get back on their feet as quickly as possible.
