Support Nick's Battle Against Kidney Cancer

To our family, friends, and extended community. I am writing on behalf of my brother Nick, who was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer and will be undergoing surgery to have his kidney removed soon. As some of you may know, I am a recent breast cancer survivor, so learning this news has been devastating for our entire family.

Nick had gone into the hospital a month ago for what he believed to be the flu, but upon further testing, he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. His tumor is currently 11 cm and aggressive.

He will be undergoing surgery and will have a recovery time of 6-8 weeks and will be unable to work during this time. I know firsthand the mental, physical, spiritual, and financial toll being diagnosed with cancer can be, so we are kindly asking for any support you may be able to share with him.

Nick was working in Alabama when he was told the awful news but is now back home in California with family, where he is now a patient at City of Hope in Duarte CA which is also where I received my treatment.

All donations will go towards paying his deductibles, gas money as he is going back and forth from Hemet, CA to Duarte, medications which include insulin to control his diabetes, and all other expenses that he may encounter along the way.

If you know us, you know that Nick and I are very close and our family wants nothing more than for him to be okay. We thank you for all of your love, prayers, and support during this time and send all of our love back to you.

I will send updates on Nick with his permission and am very hopeful that City of Hope will continue to take care of him like they have taken care of me.
