Support Nickie's Fight Against Breast Cancer

Thank you for taking the time to read our page for my sister-in-law and best friend, Nickie Brock. We are setting up this fundraiser for Nickie, an incredible mom to Addison (17), Lucas (12), and Bonnie (7), and wife to Zach. Nickie found a lump on her breast in November of 2024, just a month after her 40th birthday. In just a few short weeks, which seemed more like an eternity, Nickie would receive her diagnosis: Breast Cancer, Stage III Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC). An extremely aggressive, but one of the most researched and studied forms of breast cancer as it is the most common form of all breast cancer diagnoses (80%). The weeks that followed were filled with many sleepless nights as additional tests and biopsies were run, producing more questions than answers at the time. Thankfully, all additional tests and biopsies came back benign, and her treatment could begin. As the New Year started, so did the 8 rounds of chemotherapy. Today, Nickie is halfway through those 8 rounds! Once chemo is complete, Nickie will undergo a double mastectomy followed by 5 weeks of radiation, with reconstruction surgery following in 2026.

The journey ahead is a long one. One that will not only be incredibly difficult and painful physically, but emotionally and financially as well. The funds from this GoFundMe will go directly to support the medical expenses not covered by insurance and those unexpected expenses that arise as a result. Nickie has an incredible support system around her and has received so much love and support, prayers, meals, and care packages.

As a family, we’re doing everything we can to support her, but we need your help. For those who are able, please consider donating and sharing with your friends and family. Nickie is the foundation of our family. The one who shows up unconditionally, plans, cooks, and steps in whenever a loved one is in need. She is steadfast and loves her people fiercely. Being loved by Nickie is one of the most incredible feelings and an immense blessing. Any financial relief that we can provide to take that burden off her shoulders so she can use all her strength in this fight is greatly appreciated.
