Our hearts were broken once again for the unexpected passing of Michelle Godwin on Sunday, January 4th, 2026. The Godwin family has experienced so much trauma with tragic murder of Michelle’s daughter, Danielle aged 20, in 2005 and with the passing of Michelle’s husband, Randy, from cancer in 2010. Michelle was a mom, sister and friend to everyone. She loved with all her heart despite how broken it was from tragedy or sick from lifelong issues. Catching up with Michelle was like time never passed and her fun-loving and warm soul always brought us all that missing in our own hearts.

As Michelle joins Randy and Danielle, she leaves behind her youngest daughter, Nicki, and grandchildren behind. Nicki has been through every tragedy of losing her family in the most devastating of ways. She has been working hard and raising her son with special needs. Sadly, the cost for final expenses for Michelle’s resting lays on her shoulders as no young person should have to face. This gofundme is set up to help Nicki with the financial cost of burying a loved one while she struggles to navigate this part of her life.
