Hello everyone,
We are reaching out to you through this GoFundMe to support a beloved father, son, brother, and friend who has always been one of the most hardworking and caring individuals we know. Our dad, Nick, has always been the first to lend a helping hand to his loved ones in times of need.
Our father had not been feeling himself for a couple of months. He had assumed that his tiredness, headaches, and body aches were due to the amount of strenuous physical labor he employs on his body daily. Due to this, he felt extremely weak and therefore was unable to work. When we mentioned taking him to the doctor he declined due to not having any sort of medical insurance. However last Wednesday we decided to rush our father to the emergency room because instead of improving, his physical health was drastically declining.
When taken to the emergency room, he was immediately transferred to the ICU due to critically low sodium levels and an intense bacterial infection in his bloodstream. Since then he has been in the ICU fighting daily for the smallest improvements.
Our father never wants to mention his finances, ask for help, or let us know when he is stressed. But since he has been here, we found that he is in immediate need of paying off past mortgage and utility bills, which needed to be paid off during those months when he could not work. While he is a couple of months behind, Noah and I expect to support him, but please know that every donation would help us immensely.
Nick's treatment and recovery will be a lengthy process, and while we remain hopeful for his physical recovery, his job, which involves intense physical labor, will not be accessible to him shortly. As a result, we have created this GoFundMe to help support him during this challenging time, easing the transition between the hospital and his return to everyday life.
Nick has always enjoyed hosting family and friends, often in his backyard with horseshoes and cornhole games. Any assistance with housing payments and groceries would be immensely appreciated while he is recovering. All funds raised will be used directly for housing, medical expenses, and daily living costs once he is home. Every single donation helps!
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. Please keep Nick in your thoughts and prayers as he continues his journey towards recovery. We will make sure to keep everyone updated on his progress and recovery.
