Nick needs further testing, possibly surgery. My love, my Hero, my Life!
Meet Mr. Nick Kringle (aka Bubba).
Born Oct 2015. Now 10 yrs old. On Dec. 24, 2015, my mother handed him to me in a stocking. I had just lost my previous dog and didn't ever want to go through that pain again. So when I received Nick, I looked him over and cried. I could not think of a name. I was told mother had got him in the nick of time for Christmas. So I named him Nick Kringle. Knowing I didn't want another heartbreak, Nick was sent to me from God. Nick rescued me in many ways. He helps me with my physical disabilities. He's patient with me.
He's just an all-around loving, understanding, patient, adorable, gentle dog. (My Son) he goes everywhere with me. You see me, you see him. From day 1, I have made sure he's up to date yearly on every shot. I also, at 1 yr old, had him fixed. He's my everything. I (my Vet) also in the last 4 yrs have had to give him allergy shots 2-3 times a year. I've fed him healthy food, treats, even bottled water. He's spoiled and loved dearly.
I've given him the best life I can. He has tons of toys. Seems as if everything is perfect!! Well, 1 yr ago, I was laying next to him just holding him and rubbing my hand up and down his body. I felt a few knots. It concerned me. Kept an eye on it knowing he was due for shots in the following months. When that vet visit came, I asked the Dr. to look into it. After shots and examining my concerns, I was told further testing needed to be done. I asked how urgent it was that it be done after being told what needed to be started with and prices. Vet didn't feel urgent at the time but in the very near future. Due to the vet knowing I'm disabled and once a month SSD payment with no other income, he told me to try in the next 3 months. Over the last year, these knots have grown and are much larger and cause him discomfort when getting up and down or turning side to side. I need testing done. Labs, blood work, X-ray... maybe less, maybe more to find out if these large knots need to be surgically removed or medicated or what. Nick is my life and I'm not looking forward to the day I have to say goodbye. If I can get this problem fixed, or at least prolong his time with me, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Nick is such a loving pup, he loves everyone, every animal, and would never hurt a fly.
I'm struggling financially these days just getting through the month on $1000.
I have had to have work done on my truck recently that needs more work. I pay my car insurance and rent faithfully as I've had my own apartment for 5 yrs after being homeless due to my disability.
I never ask for help but he's my life, and if you could just help a little, it adds up.
Also asking for prayers. Thank you for listening and please push the share button.
