Our brother-in-law Nick Pilat who just turned 50 yrs old in November, began experiencing complete vision loss in March that was diagnosed with autoimmune disorder. During those weeks of treatments Nick was not able work. Yesterday his condition got worse and he was rushed to the hospital in Greenville, SC. Doctors discovered that Nick has suffered a massive blood clot in his brain and he is currently in the ICU receiving a Heparin infusion. He is awaiting evaluation by a specialist to determine whether he qualifies for a procedure to surgically remove the clot.

Nick is a devoted husband and father to four beautiful children. He is also the primary and sole provider for his family. Anyone who knows Nick knows he is the first to lend a hand, always stepping up to help others without hesitation. Now, he and his family are the ones in need.

This fund has been set up to help relieve some of the financial pressure during this incredibly difficult time. The goal is to allow Nick to focus fully on healing, without the added stress of providing for his family while hospitalized and recovering.
