On February 14, our nephew's wife, Nichole, was rushed to the ER for an emergency C-section. Baby Abigail was delivered and is healthy; however complications quickly arose for Nichole. She had to have 3 surgeries and lost a lot of blood with multiple blood transfusions needed. She was placed in a medically induced coma, is on ventilator, a heart lung bypass machine (ECMO) and a machine for kidneys (dialysis). Nichole remains in the ICU. Her husband- our nephew, Nick is taking a leave of absence from work to be with her at the hospital/care for their children (they also have a 1 year old, named Olivia).
