Friends and Family,

Nick was admitted to the hospital on Friday. He has swelling, bleeding and spinal fluid buildup in his brain. Doctors have not found the root of the cause or treatment plan.

He has been sedated and intubated. They did a ventriculostomy to relieve pressure and have done a brain and spinal MRI. His cochlear implant prevented clear images in the brain MRI.

Nick is not showing signs of readiness to get off of the ventilator and as of Sunday morning is septic and has developed pneumonia as well.

UPDATES

(11/20) Multiple blood clots were found in Nick’s lungs and legs. He was sent into surgery again last night to put in a filter that will hopefully stop more clots from getting to his lungs.

(11/20) 12:00PM - Cavernous malformation probable cause, doc called it a hemorrhagic stroke. Bleed is mid brain above the stem. Nick has been taken off of sedation until he’s showing signs of being uncomfortable. Both nurse and doctor said there’s been improvement since yesterday. He is responding to noise (turns his eyes towards it). He is able to move extremities, right side is not as responsive as the left. He held Ashlee’s hand and raised his eyebrows when she told him about the Dodgers winning the World Series. THANK YOU JESUS!
