Support Nick and the family on this cancer journey

In April of 2023, Nick Jones (age 44) a father to 6 kids (ages 19 - 3 years old) found he had stage 4 Metastatic Brain Cancer. My name is Jen Park (Baldwin), Christie's sister. On behalf of the Jones and Baldwin families, we are asking for your financial and prayer support to help Nick, Christie and the kids through this cancer journey.

Here's a note from Christie...

Dear Friends and Family,

Nick went to the ER on Monday, April 3rd for migraines and dehydration, he had the flu over the weekend and was really sick. They ran a CT scan and did not like what they saw so we were sent to Sparrow Lansing for further testing. A full body scan revealed Nick had a small mass in his lung, a spot in his spleen and his pancreas and most seriously 32 spots in his brain.

It was a huge shock! He had not been having any symptoms that would have pointed to that. Nick has been having some health issues for the last 2 years and we were praying for answers. We didn't expect them to come in this way but we are so grateful that the Lord is showing us what is going on.

On Friday, April 14th Nick started immunotherapy with the hope of training his immune system to attack the cancer cells. Chemo, radiation and surgery are not options at this point. It is very early in the process and we don't yet know what this journey will look like or how long it will be. We are believing and trust God's love for us and have already seen God's presence and felt his peace in powerful ways just this past week.

Nick, the kids and I are all doing well spiritually and emotionally though we do have our moments. We are excited to see how God will use this for His good.

Cancer is a scary word and most of the time feels like a death sentence.... BUT GOD!!!! He is so faithful and I know He will be walking this journey with us every step of the way. We invite you to come along with us and watch what God can do!

As a family of deep faith we value, more than anything, your prayers. Nick and Christie's faith has deepened through these past few weeks as they have seen God walking with them every step of the way.

Here is how you can pray. . .

1. Pray for Nick's physical healing and strength. Right now his symptoms include some vision issues every once in a while and occasional mild headaches. He does not have to be hospitalized during treatment and has even been able to go back to work.

2. Pray for Christie as she supports Nick and the kids through this journey. Six kids are a lot before adding cancer to the mix! Pray for their spiritual, emotional and physical well-being.

3. Pray for each of the kids as they process things in their way. Pray that each one would grow in their walk with God and learn to lean on Him like never before.

4. Pray for each person who connects with Nick and Christie during this journey to grow in their faith and know or come to know the love of Jesus.

5. Pray for provision for the family's financial needs! Nick is a self-employed contractor and will be working as much as he is able to.
