Hello, everyone. My name is Nicholas, and I have been fighting cancer since April of 2020. I was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma called nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin's lymphoma. While it is mostly nonaggressive, it does have the potential to change, and unfortunately, my recent health issues led to the discovery that the cancer has returned and spread to my chest. After consulting with my primary care doctor and oncologist, I will be starting chemotherapy very soon.
Because of my current poor health, working has become extremely difficult, and I know that during chemotherapy, I will be too ill to maintain steady employment. This has created a lot of uncertainty and worry about how I will manage my bills, rent, travel expenses for treatment, and the costs of maintaining a healthy diet. There are also many unforeseen expenses that come with a cancer diagnosis, and it’s overwhelming to face them alone.
I am reaching out in the hope that there are people who understand or empathize with what I am going through. Any help at all will go a long way in allowing me to focus on getting better and fighting this disease. Your support—whether through donations or words of encouragement—means the world to me. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read my story and for any help you can offer.
