Nicholas Jenkins is my 25-year-old son, and he has shown incredible strength over the past two years. He is a loving, supportive, and beloved son, brother, friend, and cousin to his 20 cousins. His polite and honorable presence makes an unforgettable impression on friends, family, and strangers alike. Nicholas is a hardworking young man who handles everything in his life with integrity and determination.
In September 2023, Nicholas got an unfortunate diagnosis of thyroid cancer, mere months after his beloved aunt lost her battle against this horrible disease. His treatment was successful, and he stayed the course to heal completely. We were overjoyed when he was declared cancer-free. Then, in November of this year, he got the devastating news that his cancer had come back and had spread. Still grieving the loss of his dad, David, a marine veteran, six months earlier, Nicholas and his family and friends were crushed.
He is scheduled for surgery two days before Christmas and is facing more treatments after surgery. Nicholas wants to fight this disease with traditional medicine as well as homeopathic treatments, to get his body healthy in all ways possible. His insurance will not cover all the costs of his recovery plan; therefore, we are reaching out to friends, family, and the goodwill of strangers to aid in Nicholas’ recovery financially, as well as spiritually. With insurance battles, loss of wages, and recovery costs, we need help to have Nicholas recover completely and live the life he is meant to live with his friends and family.
This has been a difficult and emotional journey for our family, but Nicholas continues to fight with courage and hope every day.
Thank you for supporting Nicholas in any way you’re able to—whether that’s financially, emotionally, or spiritually. Your kindness and encouragement mean the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for any help you can provide during this challenging time.
