Hi, i’m samantha. Spouse of nicholas. We are starting this fund to help my husband through college since losing his GI bill, after he was generally discharged from the navy. He was punished for having a mental health crisis. All money made from this fund, will be split in half equally, one half to help fund my husbands college and the other half will be donated to the brandon act foundation. We believe no service member should go through what we’ve been through, and what many service members have already gone through. We aren’t the first, and we unfortunately probably won’t be the last. We hope that donating to the brandon act foundation will make a huge difference and more impact for those service members who need help. The college funding will be helpful, as my husband chooses a career path and continues providing for our family. Because the world doesnt end when you leave the military. We have two very young children, so it would be so gratefully appreciated. As we step into this new chapter, we are hoping to make change, to help more service members get mental help, to make known that they are not alone. To help support families who were also affected by this. And for the military to finally take accountability for our service members mental health.
