Hello. My son's best friend Nicholas Austin was involved in a terrible accident on August 14th 2025 that broke his pelvis and sacrum in multiple places. He has endured several surgeries to put all his pieces back together.

His mom, my dear friend Christy, is a single mother trying to handle his many appointments, manage his pain and somehow keep going in the face of this new reality. To make matters worse, she just lost her job because her leave ran out; so she has no income at the moment.

Nicky is a strong guy, and is healing as well as can be expected, but he has a long road ahead of him.
