Hiya! My name is Niamh, I'm a queer trans multidisciplinary designer and artist who just graduated with my bachelor's in landscape architecture. I am currently unemployed and have recently come under very harsh financial troubles. I had planned a major gender affirming surgery (FFS) for around a month and a half after I graduated, but while waiting for my surgery date to arrive I was told my insurance had denied coverage for the procedure on the grounds of it "not being medically necessary", with no chance to appeal only a month before my surgery date. I'm now struggling to navigate the medical system and get new insurance before my surgery date (originally July 12th but now updated for October 25th) while also suffering severe autistic burn out, major depression, CPTSD and many other issues regarding my mental health. Dealing with the insurance alone is hard enough, but having to deal with it while also struggling with severe dysphoria regarding my face and the usual daily struggles of a trans woman has made it exponentially harder. Any help would be life changing and I'd be forever thankful for all support given! No contribution is too small! Thank you so much for your time and focus.
