My name is Ni’Ambi Fagan and in July, my partner and I experienced the unimaginable loss of our daughter due to congenital CMV. While grieving, I also made the difficult decision to leave my role as a Registered Behavior Technician after experiencing frequent illness from working closely with young children—something I now believe contributed to complications during my pregnancy.
I had secured another position and signed an offer letter the same day I resigned, but unfortunately, that role was unexpectedly eliminated before I could begin. Since then, I have been actively applying for work while doing everything possible to keep our household stable.
At the same time, my partner underwent surgery for a torn meniscus and has been non-weight bearing for the past eight weeks, which has kept him out of work during recovery. With both of us temporarily unemployed due to medical circumstances, we are now struggling to keep up with essential living expenses.
We are asking for short-term support to help cover necessities such as rent, utilities, food, and transportation while we continue healing and working toward stable employment. Any contribution—no matter the amount—would help ease the financial strain during this incredibly difficult season.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser or keeping us in your thoughts means just as much. Thank you for your compassion, kindness, and support.
