Support Nia and her family

Hello all!

I’m Annie, America’s sister and one of the(many!) aunties to our beloved Nia. I’m starting this go-fund-me as a way to help support Adam, America and their sweet little family as they courageously face this difficult journey together.

As most of you know, Nia had surgery on a brain tumor two weeks ago and has started radiation in Oakland this week that will continue through mid July. Adam and America have put their work lives on hold in order to juggle all the needs of this unfolding situation. That coupled with the unknowable timeline of this medical process means that they’re going to need some help. They are so deeply grateful for the web of love and support, prayers, songs, favorite book lending, rental cars, meals, Avi-care, packages of love and fun, garden watering and chicken tending you all have been weaving for them and wanted me to be sure to acknowledge how buoyed they already feel by each and every one of you. Creating this financial safety net for them will help to ensure that they have the space to focus on what matters most as they move forward with strength and love into the unknown.

Anything you can give would be hugely appreciated, and of course if money is not the right way for you to offer support right now, there are and will be many other ways to hold and tend this sweet family in the coming weeks and months!
