Support NH Loons' Historic Run at Adidas Track Nationals

Help us support the Lakes Region's NH LOONS in their bid for history at the ADIDAS TRACK NATIONALS in Greensboro, NC on June 14 - 16!

This spring, four athletes from Interlakes Middle High School have made some serious waves. Consisting of Devin Gasque, Ronan Hird, Isaac Nudd-Homeyer, and Landon Richards, the boys 4 x 400 meter relay team capped a fantastic season at their Division III meet by breaking their school record (and the previous divisional state record) with a time of 3:29.09--finishing in second place (and missing holding the new state record) by only a fraction of a second.

In posting this time, they registered a qualifying time to participate in the Adidas Track Nationals, one of three national high school meets, in June. Because the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association (NHIAA), of which their high school is a member, is not affiliated with these national meets, students who qualify may not participate or run as their school team, nor receive support from their school district to attend or compete.

In light of this, it falls to the students, their families, and our community to help make this happen, and we ask for your help! This is a momentous achievement for these young men, and we are excited to support them in this opportunity, both for the experience itself as well as for the doors it can open in their athletic and scholastic careers. To date, these athletes are the ONLY students from New Hampshire registered to compete--and they have chosen to be known as the NH LOONS, donning regal black and white!

Your support will assist the students and their families in defraying the costs of registration, uniforms and other athletic gear, food and lodging, and transportation for the students and up to two family members each. If your kind support, the contributions of the families themselves, and other business donations exceed the needs of the students and their families, excess funding will be dedicated to creating a fund to assist future local athletes and their families in similar situations.
