Ngozi's dad was a kind, kingdom-minded person and a true servant leader. He was a father figure, a community pillar, and a devoted Catholic. He taught his family how to pray, trust God, be God-fearing, and live an exemplary life. Chief Okoro was a man of respect, eloquence, insight, and a problem solver. To know Chief Okoro is to love him. He leaves a positive impression on anyone he meets. Meeting him is like knowing and having a friend, father, supporter, and encourager all in one. God truly blessed him with the gift of compassion and love—never judgmental and always understanding. He was everyone's father and was loved beyond just his immediate family. Chief Okoro was kind-hearted, spoke through love, and stood for justice and truthfulness. As a father to many—both young and old—his heartfelt advice and compassionate heart touched countless lives. He earned the title "Ome’udo"—The Peacemaker—through merit. He was a man that pursued peace, sprinkled with love. His exemplary life earned him the title Ome’udo, meaning The Peacemaker. He was a husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all, and his legacy of generosity and wisdom will never be forgotten.
Ngozi is now facing the difficult task of saying goodbye to her dad from afar. Living in the U.S., she needs to travel to Nigeria for the funeral, and the costs of airfare, funeral arrangements, and logistics are overwhelming. The sudden expenses have created a significant financial strain, making it hard to focus on grieving and honoring her dad’s memory.
Your support will help cover travel costs, funeral expenses, and ease the financial burden on Ngozi and her family. Anything you can give will go a long way, and your kindness will help her say a final farewell to her beloved dad. Please keep Ngozi’s mom, brothers, and twin sister in your prayers as they navigate this loss. Thank you for being part of a community that lifts each other up in times of need.
Thank you everyone for taking out time to support my family and I at this time. I pray celebration and joy never depart from you all. God bless and keep you in all of your endeavors.
