My brother Nezar MedCherif is living with a severe chronic illness called Empty Nose Syndrome (ENS), a rare and life-altering condition that can happen after nasal surgery. ENS is recognized in medical literature and can cause constant difficulty breathing despite open airways, extreme dryness, nervous system distress, sleep disruption, digestive issues, and severe physical and emotional exhaustion.
Every day is a struggle just to stay stable, functional, and hopeful. Simple things many people take for granted—breathing comfortably, sleeping peacefully, speaking normally, or getting through the day without pain—have become ongoing challenges for him.
Where he lives, access to specialized medical care and financial support is extremely limited. He has fought for a long time to manage this illness on his own, but he now urgently needs proper treatment, medical guidance, and basic support to keep going and work toward recovery.
I am raising funds to help him cover:
- Medical appointments, specialist consultations, tests, and treatment
- Medication, humidification, and health-related supplies
- Transportation and daily living expenses while he is unable to function normally
- Travel costs if he needs to reach doctors with experience treating ENS
He is not asking for luxury—only for a real chance to heal, to breathe easier, and to rebuild a normal life.
Any donation, no matter the amount, would make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others could help more than you know.
Thank you for supporting Nezar’s survival, treatment, and journey back to life.
