Dear Newtown Wrestling Families, Alumni & Friends - Today is the first day of practice for our 2025/26 season! We could really use your financial support to help defray the costs of training & travel costs not in the school budget.
We had a very successful 2024/25 season, including the following:
Athletic Accomplishments
- 2025 SWC Champions
- 2nd in CT Class L States out of 24 teams
- 2nd in State Opens out of 83 teams
- 4th in New Englands out of 170 teams
Academic Accomplishments
- 13 wrestlers earned Honors or High Honors (Nearly 65% of the team)
- The team had a grade average of 93.77 (One of the highest of any team at NHS)
- 7 National HS Academic All-Americans (3.6+ GPA & state tournament placement)
- We helped student athletes get recruited to Roger Williams, Johns Hopkins, Springfield & Columbia)
All donations will be administered by the board of Nighthawk Wrestling Booster Club. 100% of the funds will benefit our wrestlers and all gifts are tax deductible. Our non-profit tax ID# is 87-1420196.
