Support New Heights Students' ValleyFair Trip

My name is Annah Massmann, and I am the school counselor at New Heights School. New Heights is a small K-12 charter school that serves a student population where close to 50% of our students have identified special needs, and more than 60% of our students are eligible for free or reduced-price meals, simply meaning that more than half of our families have very limited financial means.

As we are wrapping up the school year, we are hoping for the opportunity to bring our students to ValleyFair Amusement Park. With the current rate of inflation coupled with the cost of fuel, the cost to offer these trips has increased greatly compared to prior years.

Some of our students would be unable to participate in the field trip due to the cost, and the school lacks the necessary resources to fund the trip. For those reasons, we are asking our community to consider supporting us by making a financial contribution at the level each person is comfortable with. Any level of support will be welcomed and appreciated. Last year, our community came through, and we were able to go on this outing. Please help this year's group enjoy the day.

We plan to attend ValleyFair on Tuesday, June 3rd. By raising funds ahead of time, we will be able to notify our families that resources will be available to those in need. 100% of the funds collected will be used to offset the per-person cost of the trip, meaning no donated funds will be used to offset any administrative costs whatsoever.
