I am raising funds to cover the cost of new flexible seating furniture for my classroom. About six years ago our school received a grant to pilot classrooms that use flexible seating. My classroom was one of the classrooms chosen to incorporate this new type of furniture. I have really enjoyed having flexible seating in my classroom. Flexible seating allows kids to wiggle and move in an appropriate way while completing their classwork. It helps minmize other distracting behaviors students may otherwise engage in, helps those who have trouble focusing stay focused, and allows kids to be kids while still learning!

Since I have had the flexible seating furniture for six years now, some of it needed to be replaced. Grant money runs out over a period of time and there is not enough money in our individual teacher budgets to cover the cost of furniture. I wanted the new seating to be ready for students on the first day of school, so I paid for it myself.

Instead of holiday, birthday or teacher appreciation gifts this year I am asking for a small donation toward this GoFundMe to cover the cost of the furniture. The total cost was $303.96 so my donation goal is $300. I am including pictures of the furniture below along with the cost. I purchased two sets of each. I appreciate any donation you can give and I thank you for helping to make my classroom a space where children can learn, grow, and be themselves.
