Support New Destiny Orphans' Future

My name is Athiei Kuot, and I am a college student partnering with Juma on a life-changing project.

I am currently in school and was looking for an opportunity to give back this year when Director Juma reached out to me some time ago with New Destiny Orphanage Center. He takes on the responsibility of looking after some of the most vulnerable orphans in his community and has been serving them for five years. To quote Director Juma, he sees an oasis for the kids, a sanctuary beginning with “buying enough land for the orphans, constructing a permanent home and a clinic for emergencies, constructing a borehole for the orphans to get clean and safe water, and carrying out some farming to get food, paying school fees for them, getting school requirements, buying food, and also clothes for them.”

His vision includes rent-free housing, for that we need to begin construction on our own building, land, 5-acres, to gather crops, sow and harvest, and a farm. To herd animals and keep a stock of them to clothe and feed the children. It’s a lofty vision, but we invite you to dream with us and become a member of what is happening here in Bugiri, Uganda.
