Support A Cat Sanctuary For Rescued and Unwanted Kitties

My name is Regina "GG" Cordell. I am the owner of, now closed GG Furry Purrs of WV cat rescue. In 3 years we were able to rescue and rehome over 500 cats.. I am basically just an in home "sanctuary" now for the kitties that weren't adopted. I'm doing this on my own now. I've always operated on donations and my own money only. Due to decline in financial support and adoptions, I am now closed.

I was running my rescue from my mobile home in Pratt,WV when a sink hole formed and my home had to be demolished with no compensation from my insurance or my landlord. I owned it free and clear. I even did an interview on WCHS TV trying to get someone to help me. That didn't work.

I was forced to move into my deceased parents home and take over the mortgage.

I set my catio up outside and the kitties were happy. Our town has a stray cat problem and the whole town, including city officials have accused me that the cats were mine. Every day someone always has something cruel to say about it. A resident moved off and abandoned approximately 35 cats. I have offered to TNR these stray kitties if the residents and town would donate money to help.

Not ONE person has stepped up to help. Instead they criticize me every day on the town's face book page. These cats are in severe danger. One comment was made about "eating them" or the "d*** stupid sanctuary idea". So many of the strays have disappeared and I fear they were killed by residents.

Recently I was forced to tear my catio down and the cats are so unhappy. As long as I'm in this town, these cats will never be able to go outside for fresh air in their own catio that they enjoy so much. Instead they sit in the window and meow or run out the door every time I step outside.

I would love to raise enough money for a down payment on some property with a barn, farm or whatever where I can let them be happy and save the strays that are left from the dangers they face every day.

It has always been my dream to have a sanctuary. My heart is broken and I worry every single day about these defenseless babies. I never really realized just how cruel people can be. Please help me if you can. Thank you in advance!!‍⬛
