Hello my name is Amanda. My youngest daughter Nevaeh was diagnosed in January of 2024 with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, which means her heart has an usual amount of thickness. Her left lower chamber of her heart is thicker than the other chambers. In October of 2023 she was at work and passed out for over 2 mins. While she was out she was having episodes of body tremors as if she was having a seizure. We immediately took her to the ER where she had an EKG that showed her T waves were abnormal. The next day we were scheduled to see a Cardiologist and had a MRI. She has passed out 3 times total. Thank God neither time she was alone. We have seen 4 cardiologists and all came to the conclusion she needed an ICD. On February 14, which is ironic it is Valentine’s Day she had her ICD placed. We are needing this money to help pay for her clinic/imaging bill the amount is $7,295, hospital/surgery bill $5,000. We tried to get help from the financial aid department at SSM to help with the clinic and imaging bill. Which no one seemed to get the email of the documents we sent over 5 times. Now we are headed to collection for her clinic and imaging bill and trying to pay the hospital bill before it goes through there. Our deductible is $6,000 per year which we did not meet last year and the year is just starting. Any amount given would be a blessing.
