Let's Support My Little Sister in Her Fight Against Lupus and Bring Some Light to Our Family’s Journey
Hello, my name is Briana Faire, and I am reaching out on the behalf of my mother Lakisha Ivery to share the ongoing journey of my 16-year-old little sister, Nevaeh Parker, who has recently been diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disease that has turned her life upside down. This has been an incredibly difficult journey for her and for all of us.
My sister has been unable to attend school and is now homebound. Watching her suffer and miss out on the joys of teenage life has been incredibly hard. Despite her illness, she remains strong, but the emotional and physical toll is significant.
Our mother, works tirelessly to support not only Nevaeh but her other small children as well. She juggles her job and the responsibility of taking my sister to appointments in Chapel Hill, which often means missing work and struggling to keep up with bills. Our family’s journey has been filled with worry and uncertainty, but we hold onto hope and faith that brighter days are ahead.
We are humbly asking for your help to ease some of the financial burdens my mom is facing. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward medical expenses, transportation, parking tickets at the hospital, and supporting my sister’s care. Your kindness and generosity will help us focus on what truly matters—my sister’s recovery and well-being.
“Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain you.” — Psalm 55:22
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for your prayers, support, and generosity. Your kindness is a reminder that we are not alone in this fight. Together, with faith and love, we believe that my sister will find strength to overcome this challenge.
With warm gratitude and hopeful hearts,
