One of our loved seniors, Nevaeh Young, was involved in a rollover accident on May 13th. She was life flighted to MCR in CO where she has so far undergone one surgery to fix her badly broken arm. She also sustained many broken ribs, a broken eye socket, a broken scapula and some internal injuries.

She is just 2 weeks from graduating which she has worked so hard for. She is a student athlete who has maintained a 4.0 GPA. Her grandma is staying with her while she recovers which means she is off of work. As a community, we would like to raise money to help with travel expenses and food for grandma and family, as well as for Nevaeh as she graduates and begins her new chapter in life. The Sunburst Mercantile is also taking donations that will go directly to them.

Update: 5/18/25

Nevaeh continues to recover in CO. Her biggest obstacle is her breathing. Due to her rib injuries she is having trouble being able to expand her lungs. They are doing what they can to manage her pain and give her some extra breathing support.
