On Thanksgiving Day, my mother-in-law had a debilitating seizure, and my wife’s younger brother had to remove the knife from her hands while she was cooking and call 911 to take her to the hospital. After hours of foaming at the mouth and speaking gibberish in the ambulance and the hospital, we were forced to make a choice that could either save her life or kill her in the process. We chose the aggressive treatment in order to hopefully save her life, with no conclusive test, due to the time constraint. She ended up responding to the treatment but was stuck in the hospital for 24 hours before refusing further treatment.

I would give anything to ensure this doesn’t happen again, but with her poor insurance and social standing, she refuses to go for further treatment.

My mother-in-law has always promised to outlive me and care for me, my wife, and my brother-in-law as we are the only family she has, and it would kill me if a monetary issue was the cause of her death.

Please help me afford her neurological visits and hospital stay so I can ensure that her kids are taken care of and she remains the fabulous mother and caretaker she was.
