Nesclau is one of the best jammers in Brazil. She's 38, has been playing roller derby for 11 years, balancing her love for the sport with her full time job as a hairdresser, being a single mom to 12 year old son, and going to college for an IT degree.

Nesclau is on the roster for Team Brasil Roller Derby as a primary jammer, but regardless of her efforts to raise money by offering hair services and asking her community, she is still short the full amount, and if she can't raise more money she simply won't be able to go.

Right now a flight from Rio to Venice + train to Innsbruck (the cheapest option available) is $1,035 dollars. A shared hotel room will total $432 dollars. Plus train tickets and meals.
