Support Neriah's Liver Transplant Journey

They have found a match for Neriah! She will be admitted tomorrow for pre-op procedures and having surgery on Tuesday August 28th. It will be a long road to recovery but grateful that they are finally here.

Update on Neriah’s Hepatoblastoma/Liver Transplant Journey✨

As some of you are already aware, we have been waiting for a liver for Neriah for just about 4 weeks now. Unfortunately me, dad, and big brother along with others who have tried qualifying from aunts to friends, have not been a match for her due to size or compatibility, but there are still others waiting to be evaluated as well!

I wanted to take this time to continue to keep everyone updated and also thank everyone for their continued prayers and gifts they have sent to Neriah. It’s truly a blessing having her home and watching her development improve immensely since she’s been off chemo. This time has continued to show us just how resilient she is and how she is able to bounce back from everything she has been going through the past 5 months! Her smiles and her joy bring so much light into our lives ‍

We know God has a plan and a purpose for Neriah’s life. We trust and know her team is looking for the absolute best match as well. We continue to advocate for Neriah and where we can’t God most certainly can!

Neriah has been on UNOS status 1B priority nation wide for 4 weeks now. Every offer that is being presented is either not compatible or size is the issue. She will most likely be starting her chemo treatments again next week since we had a small window between chemo cycles for her to receive and have her liver transplant done. We were informed that if she didn’t have a liver by Monday, Neriah would be back in the hospital on Tuesday to resume her chemotherapy, and she will be on a hold status for a new liver until her chemo treatment is complete which is usually 21 days. She’ll have her bloodwork rechecked and be placed back on the list after her counts recover.

I also wanted to share her living donor transplant surgery if anyone is either interested in being a donor or knows someone who is interested. We’ve had a few people ask us if they could be checked if they would be compatible. We were given the yes to share the survey link so we’re doing just that. There are campaigns as well which we will be speaking with her team about that next week.

Again thank you so much for the prayers and words of encouragement! Her fight is not over! Miracles happen every day and Neriah is truly a miracle love yall, J.
