Support Nepal's Injured Youth Protesters

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kritagya Raj Shakya. I'm a citizen of Nepal and I'm raising these funds on the recent protest that happened all over Nepal to provide medical fees and support to the family of those who passed away but are still alive in our hearts. The protest in Nepal, started by GenZ, initially began over the social media ban where all communication platforms from Meta, YouTube, Twitter, and many apps were banned. This was the start of ignition among the youths who have stayed silent and been oppressed by the corrupted leaders of Nepal. What initially sparked as a protest for the social media ban began to light a fire to end corruption in the country and also sparked a nepo baby trend to showcase the luxury lifestyle of the corrupt politicians and their kids. As the voices grew, people began to ask how they have so much wealth gathered when their wages are below 1000 USD a month and how they could afford such a lavish and wealthy lifestyle without any business and purely from politics.

On September 8, 2025, now marked as a black day in the history of Nepal, youths who were determined to start this protest against corruption peacefully escalated after the order to open fire against the protesters was issued by the CDO of Kathmandu in the presence of the honorable Prime Minister and Home Minister of Nepal, who went missing after resigning their posts on September 9, 2025. After this order was issued, 17 youths who were fighting against corruption and for the betterment of their country were shot down by the police who were supposed to protect their own people. Mind you, the youths who were killed in the protest ranged from 14 years old to 28 years old. A youth in his school dress who was just 14 years old was shot directly in his head, which goes against all international laws. Within a few hours, 17 youths were found dead, while the majority were still in their school and college uniforms, and more than 200 people are still injured and unable to pay their medical fees. This left a deep scar on the general public of Nepal and huge distrust in the police.

Fueled by the ambition to avenge their lost brothers and sisters on September 8, 2025, the citizens of Nepal were furious at how easy it was for them to kill us, and everybody united on September 9, 2025, to turn over the government and forced the prime minister to resign his post. Some people, taking advantage of this situation, started to blindly attack government buildings, politicians' houses, breaking down banks, and started looting, which we do not condone nor was this protest meant to go this way. Major police stations were also burned down, and many criminals also escaped, which has put a huge question mark on the nation's safety. Though we do not condone the police action on September 8, 2025, no youths or protesters who were fighting against corruption condone this cause. Our fight was against corruption, not promoting vandalism or robbery. People who took advantage of this situation to completely cripple our country for their own personal gain will not be forgiven by the youths of Nepal.

The youths of Nepal ask for your support to help cover the medical expenses of those who were injured in the protest and to give condolences and build a memorial to those youths who were martyred in the protest and provide some support to the families who have lost their financial pillar so they can again walk on their feet. This protest again reminds the world's politicians that the more you oppress the youth, the more they will fight back and overturn the government for their freedom. This is not just a victory for us but for all the youths in the world to see that if they unite, they can change their corrupt government and force the leaders to step down so they can look forward to a better future. Though it will take our country some time to recover from all these losses, it will serve as a reminder to all the new politicians of what happened on this day so they will think twice before engaging in corruption.

This fundraising will strictly go to the injured and their families and to give our heartfelt condolences to the families of those youth heroes who unfortunately lost their lives in this protest against corruption. I ask you all to donate if you can without harming your personal life, but I sincerely urge you all to share this fundraiser as much as you can so we can save those who were injured in the protest and those who were affected or caught in the crossfire amidst this protest. Thank you.
