We’re a group of Nepalese students from the University of South Carolina (USC) organizing this fundraiser in response to the recent Genz Protest in Nepal (September). During the protest, several public properties and national heritage buildings were damaged.
All funds collected through GoFundMe will be sent to the official government account named “Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund.” The government has requested support from both national and international organizations to help rebuild the affected areas. Once we receive the funds from GoFundMe, we’ll transfer the full amount to the official account within a week.
We will share a receipt of the transfer.
Nepal Gen-Z Protest: Violent Clashes Over Corruption | Govt Imposes Social Media Ban
On Monday, September 8, 2025, Nepal witnessed one of the most intense youth-led protests in its history. Thousands of Gen-Z students and young activists took to the streets to raise their voices against deep-rooted corruption and government negligence. Unfortunately, the peaceful demonstrations turned violent after clashes with security forces, leaving hundreds of young people injured and several lives tragically lost.
This fundraising effort has been launched to provide medical assistance, financial aid, and essential support to those who were injured, as well as to the families of those who have lost their loved ones in this struggle for justice.
Gen-Z has ignited a movement of resilience and courage. Their fight is not just for themselves but for the future of Nepal—a future free from corruption, injustice, and suppression. The entire nation stands with them in solidarity.
May God give strength to the injured, comfort to grieving families, and courage to every Nepali fighting for truth and justice. Rest in peace to all the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for this cause.
