Help Support a Family Affected by an Apartment Fire

Dear Friends and Family,

On August 13, 2024, a devastating fire in the Southgate Gardens apartment complex broke out Tuesday afternoon, affecting several students of University of Delaware including a Nepali family.

It has also come to our attention that several other students have been affected by this fire. We will dedicate a portion of the funds raised to support them as well. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the family has lost nearly everything. The fire has left them with significant losses, including their apartment and personal belongings. As fellow students and members of the UD community, we can come together to support this family during their time of need.

We are starting a GoFundMe to raise funds to help them recover from this tragedy. The money will be used to provide immediate relief, including temporary housing, food, clothing, and other essential needs. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping this family rebuild their lives.
