I’m launching this fundraiser to support social workers providing urgent relief efforts in Nepal. The recent devastating floods in Nepal’s Langtang region have left 750 people dead, 2,500 missing, and thousands more displaced. These funds will pay for lodging, food, and transportation for social workers led by two trusted friends, Pradipta Kadambari and Satish Man Pati.

Pradipta co-founded and leads Kadambari Memorial College, which has an internationally recognized program to train social workers located in Kathmandu.

Satish is an Instructor for World Leadership School and has guided thousands of people on treks and climbs throughout the region. We are working with Satish to launch a World Leadership School program in Nepal.

Satish and Pradipta hosted my daughter, Francesca Wehner, this summer for an internship at Kadambari Memorial College. I know firsthand how professional and skilled these social workers are.

I will continue to update the GoFundMe page as the efforts continue. Thank you to everyone who can donate something to support two trusted individuals making a huge difference in Nepal right now. This money will be sent overseas to Tukee Foundation (https://www.tukee.org.np/) for use by social workers at Kadambari Memorial College.
