Please help Irene Nelson after Devastating Eaton fire
Donation protected

On January 7th, a devastating fire destroyed the home of Irene Nelson, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. For over 65 years, this house on Fair Oaks was the heart of the Nelson family, filled with cherished memories of birthdays, holidays, and Sunday dinners. Irene now faces the loss of both her home and the memories that defined our family.
Irene, born in 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio, was the youngest of 11 children. After marrying Lionel Nelson in 1950, they built a life together, raising six children. After Lionel’s passing in 1972, Irene faced the challenge of raising her children alone, teaching them strength, love, and perseverance.
A lifelong caregiver, Irene became a nurse in the early 1970s, serving at Huntington Hospital and later working as an Amtrak ticket agent in Los Angeles. Throughout her career, she balanced her demanding jobs with raising her children, always prioritizing family.
Irene has always been the glue that holds us together, a beacon of love and warmth. Her home was the center of our family, where countless memories were made. The fire took not only a house but a lifetime of irreplaceable moments.
Now, as Irene faces this immense loss, we ask for your support. Funds raised will help her during this challenging time, providing assistance as she navigates the road ahead. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference.
Please join us in honoring Irene’s legacy of strength, love, and resilience. Your generosity will help ensure she knows she is not alone.
With love,
The Nelson Family
