Help Our Dad Recover After a Life-Threatening Aortic Dissection and Complications

Our dad Ken recently suffered a life-threatening aortic dissection—an unexpected medical emergency that changed everything in an instant. During treatment, doctors discovered an underlying issue with his intestines that traces back to a severe motorcycle crash he survived in the past. What we thought he had fully recovered from turned out to have caused silent, long-term damage that’s now made his current condition even more critical.

He has been in the hospital since May 26, 2025, and has a long road ahead of him. He’s facing multiple surgeries, a prolonged hospital stay, and an extended recovery process. The road ahead is going to be incredibly difficult—not just physically and emotionally, but financially as well.

In addition to normal hospital bills Catherine, Sammie, and Tara are racking up travel and hotel expenses as our dad is in the hospital far away from home.

Our dad has always been strong, selfless, and full of life. He’s someone who’s always helped others, never expecting anything in return. Now, we’re asking for help on his behalf—to ease the mounting medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and daily expenses that are piling up as he and his wife, Catherine, focus on his recovery.
