The photo you see here is a small button from when I was a child, standing next to a painting of President Jimmy Carter—something I never imagined would connect to my life the way it does today.
Years later, I became a homeowner through Habitat for Humanity, a mission President Carter believed in deeply. It has been a true blessing in my life, and I've worked hard ever since to maintain my home. Today, I have about $35,000 left on my mortgage and am very close to paying it off.
Recently, my situation changed. My workplace closed due to structural issues with the building, which caused a sudden loss of income.
In addition, I continue to deal with the effects of a prior workplace injury, including ongoing pain and physical limitations that have made it difficult. At 60 years old, these challenges have made it even harder to find suitable work.
Because of these circumstances, I am now struggling to keep up with my mortgage and am doing everything I can to avoid falling behind and losing my home.
I am currently waiting on a severance payment. These funds will help me catch up, but in the meantime, I need help covering my mortgage and basic living expenses.
If you're able to help, even a small amount would truly mean so much to me. Sharing this page also helps more than you know.
I'm so close to paying off my home. I just need a little help getting through this difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
