I am looking to settle my Benefits Overpayment Collection. I am recently laid off, and I used the time while looking for jobs to look into my health, and have come to find that I am disabled. After seeking financial assistance for the disability so I would continue to have a roof over my head, my diagnosis changed, and the Unemployment Office declared me unfit for work. I have needed to put every dollar into making sure I can at least even partially pay rent, and now EDD wants $260 back from unemployment assistance which was spent on rent 2 months ago. I desperately need help and do not have anyone to turn to, so if you can find it in your heart to help me so I can at the minimum get this over and paid for instead of being put into a predatory daily interest payment plan I would be forever grateful.
