Support Needed to Repair Stolen Hyundai Sonata

Sometime between 10:30pm on April 12th and 9:30am on April 13th, my 2014 Hyundai Sonata GLS was stolen from the carport in my apartment complex. April 14th around 7am it was recovered, but police had it towed due to missing their call while my husband and I were sleeping. After paying $350 to just release it from the tow yard, I had it towed to my mechanic to assess the damage.

Unfortunately I no longer could afford full coverage on my car due to the rising costs of everything and only have liability. My mechanic let me know that the estimate is $4,755.95.

The thief removed the Catalytic Converter, Exhaust Manifold/Gasket, and the ignition needs to be completely rebuilt. That estimate doesn't even include the cost to fix both car door locks that were also damaged, along with possibly the car alarm system.

While I know that everyone is struggling financially, I figured I would create this gofundme in case there is anyone who would like to help us in trying to get out of this unexpected financial disaster. Many thanks to all my friends who have already done what they can. And if anyone can donate or boost this so it can be seen, I thank you as well. Anything donated would be used to either go forward with the repairs for my car or to go towards a down for another used car. Since we just got all this information, my husband and I need to sit down and decide what would be best path to take.
