Hello friends-

As you know, I was laid off from my job almost a year ago. Despite continually applying for work, networking, and learning new skills, I still haven't found full-time employment. I was fortunate enough to have unemployment for a while and some savings that helped for a while after that. I have also leaned on the generosity of friends and family and even had some surprise packages appear on my doorstep. All of this has helped us stay afloat for the past year.

But I need help moving forward. My required expenses for August come to just about $2,000.

I am $1,000 short of that amount.

These are basic expenses: rent, electricity, gas, phone, internet, car insurance, and household/pet supplies that aren't covered by SNAP.

If you are able to spare anything right now to help me cover bills for August, I would be forever grateful.
