Karl’s (Carl) battle with cancer

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share the deeply saddening news that our dad started hospice care at home at home last month and is now hooked up to a morphine drip and visited by the nurse 2x weekly. For those that don’t know already, he was diagnosed in February 2024 with stage 4 primary lung cancer which metastasized to the brain, bone, spine and lymph nodes and was given a 4-5year survival rate. Throughout all the aggressive chemo and radiation treatments he endured, he never lost hope in having more time in life with the possibility of beating this horrible diagnosis. Anyone that knows our dad, knows him as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He has always been a source of strength and kindness in the lives of everyone he is around. He especially has always devoted his time and energy not only to his family, but to those in need throughout the years. Now, with this devastating news… we are experiencing an overwhelming emotional as well as financial burden as we prepare for the unimaginable.The funds raised through this campaign will go directly to our family to help cover outstanding medical bills and to help with funeral expenses. Our goal is to ease the financial stress for our mom and so we as a family can focus on cherishing our time together and for when the time comes, to properly lay our father at rest when he passes.
