Support Needed in Jasai's Memory

Jasai Guy was an amazing and creative soul determined to have a bright future. On June 2nd, his light was dimmed as he was caught in a tragic accident. 15 year old Jasai was shot in his apartment in the Howard Houses in Brownsville, Brooklyn, just moments after waking up. He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he unfortunately passed. He was a straight A student, beginning his journey through high school. He loved video games and basketball, tuning into every Celtics game to see his favorite player, Kyrie Irving.

I am Tiffany Grant, Jasai’s mom and I am reaching out to our community and our village. His death was very abrupt and confusing as Jasai stayed out of trouble and was all about positive change within his community. He was a great brother to his 7 year old sister and a great friend to all. We are struggling to comprehend the misfortune of his death. In the midst of mourning, we are now faced with the overwhelming task of planning a funeral that honors Jasai’s life and light. Thank you for the continued prayers and love.
